Brixen - Bressanone (Alto Adige / Südtirol) rock
The five-man band Laeds bases its music on experimental sounds, deriving from a four-year experience of acoustic rock mixed with a combination of ambitious messages, progressive rhythms, psychedelic vibes and heavy riffs, all wrapped up in catchy melodies. The band was founded in January 2013 in the valleys of South Tyrol by three musician brothers who realized they had never played together before. Two friends joined the formation in the following years. They began songwriting, played as Upload-contest finalists in 2013, only months after their foundation, and participated in various street music festivals. In 2015 they won the Upload award for best south-tyrolean band and started working on their first homemade album: Salvage, which was published September 2016. Ema, Dam, Raffa, Gege and Lollo released their first live record in 2018 and just published their second full-length album: HOMESTAGE. With Homestage, the band explores some crucial aspects of modern society, narrated through the lives of a wealthy family that would have every chance to live happily, but its six members all hide their secret burden. Six songs for six descriptions of today's deadly sins: apathy, resignation, hate, deceit, disarray and shallowness.
