Gli “[eravamo] Sunday Drivers” nascono nel 2008, nelle aule del liceo classici Giovanni Prati di Trento, dall’incontro di 4 ragazzi del 91 e del 92: Federico Bortoli, cantante e trombettista, Alessandro Vaccari, chitarrista e seconda voce, Andrea La Ganga, bassista e Fabrizio Lettieri, batterista. Dopo un inizio in stile punk rock con influenze di gruppi come Rancid e NOFX, i quattro decidono di orientare la propria musica verso il più orecchiabile Ska, iniziando a scrivere le proprie canzoni. Tra i concerti più importanti è da segnalare il MartignanoallSka del 2010, dove suonarono fra gli altri assieme a Chupones e Redska e una data al Palalevico nell’aprile 2011, dove aprirono la serata a I Ministri. A cavallo fra 2011 e 2012 si uniscono al gruppo 2 nuovi componenti: Giacomo Coser, trombonista e voce, e Federico Reich trombettista. A giugno 2012 aprono il concerto dei 99 Posse al Palatrento in occasione della finale del concorso “Upload 2012” e ad settembre hanno avuto l’opportunità di suonare al MEI (Meeting etichette indipendenti) di Faenza. A maggio 2013 uscirà il loro primo disco “Buongiorno mondo” registrato nello studio discografico “Discograficamente” di Luca Valentini.
