Stregoni - Senza Voce x Upload School


Stregoni incontra Upload School e fa tappa a Sanbàpolis: sabato 2 ottobre alle 21.00 il fine settimana della Music Production culminerà nella proiezione gratuita e aperta al pubblico del film-documentario "Senza Voce - La Storia di Stregoni". 
Location: terrazza del bar dello Studentato Sanbàpolis (Teatro Sanbàpolis in caso di maltempo). 

Il film, diretto da Joe Barba e presentato in anteprima al Trento Film Festival 2021, racconta due anni e mezzo del progetto musicale di Johnny Mox e Above the Tree, partito dai centri migranti italiani ed arrivato a suonare con più di 5.000 richiedenti asilo in tutta Europa. Nato a inizio 2016 da un'idea di Johnny Mox (Gianluca Taraborelli) e Above the Tree (Marco Bernacchia), Stregoni è un vero e proprio esperimento musicale itinerante in grado fare interagire migliaia di persone diverse. Attraverso il linguaggio della musica il film racconta storie, conflitti, aspirazioni, frustrazioni delle persone che arrivano in Europa in un lungo viaggio da Lampedusa a Malmö. Partendo dalle musiche ascoltate dai rifugiati e richiedenti asilo e custodite nei loro smartphone, Johnny Mox e Above The Tree realizzano dei loop in tempo reale che costituiscono un punto di partenza, un frammento sonoro da cui creare composizioni originali, in cui electro-tribalismo, hip hop, psichedelia, afro e gospel si fondono con la musica che risuona nella cuffie dei migranti respinti alla frontiera.

L'evento, inserito all’interno del programma della Settimana dell’Accoglienza del CNCA del Trentino Alto Adige, è realizzato da UploadSounds, insieme a Stregoni e Cinema du Desert, e sarà ad ingresso gratuito ed aperto a tutta la cittadinanza, con prenotazione da effettuare attraverso il Sistema Prismi del Centro Culturale Santa Chiara. L’accesso sarà consentito esclusivamente ai partecipanti muniti di green pass.

La speciale serata tra cinema e musica, vedrà protagonisti anche i tre progetti musicali under 21 del Trentino che sono stati selezionati per la seconda edizione della Upload School - Music Production.
