UPLOADSOUNDS: THE CONTEST
The heart of the UploadSounds project is the music competition, now in its 15th edition in 2023. A much-awaited event for bands and soloists, the contest is aimed at young artists up to the age of 35 who produce original music and were born, reside or live in Trentino, South Tyrol and Tyrol.
The contest offers a total of € 16,000 in production prizes divided as follows
1st place > € 7,000
2nd place > € 3,500
3rd prize > 2,000 €
Under 21 prize > 3,500 €
Bands and soloists from the Euregio are invited to participate, totally free of charge, by uploading an original song and their personal information in the 'subscribe here' section. The materials uploaded will go to make up a dedicated file that can be consulted on the site, a unique showcase for promoting one's music and presenting oneself to the vast public of the web and social networks
Registrations open at midnight on 26 April 2023, and this year will see two deadlines:
> those registered by and no later than 11.59pm on Friday 22 September will have priority in being selected to perform on the dates of the UploadSounds Tour, the concert series that will bring a series of top-level headliners to the main stages in the Euregio region in the autumn;
> those who have registered by 11.59pm on Sunday 5 November at the latest will still be able to enter the contest.
Once registration has closed, the entries will be assessed by an international jury of music professionals: composers, musicians, critics and journalists.
There are two categories in the competition, the UNDER 21 category, for artists up to the age of 22, and the GENERAL category, dedicated to musicians in the 22-35 age bracket, whose winners will be announced after the traditional final auditions, in which the finalists will be called upon to perform live in front of the jurors, to be held on 25 November.
The prizes consist of professional services (e.g. the production of an album, the making of a music video, agency and booking services, press office, coaching, etc.), which will be customised through specific interviews with the winners aimed at devising a package of services tailored to the specific needs of artistic growth and with the support of established music and communication professionals.
